Simon was one of our presenters at the 2010 SCMDC Marine Science Forum (have you booked for the 2013 Forum? coming soon!).

This is a rare opportunity to participate in a life-changing experience on board the wooden sailing vessel “Yukon”, crewed by some of Australia’s most accomplished master mariners.  You will be joined by nature guides and scientists with an unsurpassed knowledge of the ocean and its inhabitants.

There is a serious side to this voyage however.  Passengers will be tasked with looking at the issue of plastics in the sea in the first ever analysis of micro-plastics on the ocean surface.  One of the partners is the well known Two Hands Project – an organisation that is calling all ocean lovers to arms about this extremely serious environmental issue.
