The centre has been bustling again this week with a number of school visits. Wednesday saw 50 students from Bombala Public School tour the Discovery Centre. The students enjoyed a talk about whales, exploring the beachcombing table, making scientific observations with the microscopes and getting up close to some rocky shore creatures in the touch tank. The children were also enthralled by tales of shark attacks and loved the huge set of tiger shark jaws the centre has kindly be loaned by local Eric Nerhus.

The kids from Eden Child Care Centre enjoyed a tour of the centre on Thursday and have now all learnt how to dance like anemones, octopus and jellyfish as well as pull faces like a  pufferfish. Again the children investigated the touch tank, studied the specimens on the beachcombing  table and enjoyed a game of marine bingo. Staff were extremely impressed with the behavior of the children.

We hope the kids enjoyed their time with us at the centre and we hope to see them again during the busy school holiday period!
