• Students get colourful for Whale Festival

    This year the Sapphire Coast Marine Discovery Centre held a colouring in competition for the Eden Whale Festival. We had a huge number of entries from all over the area and even further afield such as Mallacoota and Canberra.

    The students were given a killer whale to colour in and the variety of entries was astounding, a lot of work and effort went into creating some beautiful artworks.

    “We were very impressed with the high level of colouring that was submitted for the competition” says Kerryn Wood, Operations Assistant for the SCMDC. “Students were eager to get their entries in, we had students come through all day with their creations”.

    The winners of the colouring competition were:

    • Georgia Payner from Narooma (Primary Category)
    • Max Chaplin from Bombala (Junior Category)

    There were also a number of Highly Commended awards that went to:
