Where is the Sapphire Coast?
Far-south New South Wales, generally from around Bermagui toward the Victorian border, with Eden and Merimbula as the main visitor bases.
How many days do I need?
Three nights is the honest first trip. A week if you want Tathra, Bermagui, and weather insurance.
Packing list for a Sapphire Coast weekend?
Windproof layer, warm hat even in spring, shoes you can wet on rock, sun protection, a tide app or printed tide time, binoculars if you have them, and a refillable water bottle. Add fire-awareness in summer and ice-awareness if you come via Canberra in winter.
Respecting marine life and coastal habitats?
Stay the legal distance from whales and dolphins. No drone harassment. On rock platforms, replace stones, leave live animals, and stay off nesting shorebird areas. Parks hold living Aboriginal cultural sites — do not touch art or middens.
Do you sell an annual pass?
No. A 2011 “annual pass” WordPress post from the Discovery Centre now redirects here. Park passes are sold by NSW National Parks. This site sells nothing.
