The Centre Volunteers
Our organisation has relied on volunteers since its inception in the late 1990s. All Board members are voluntary, as are our Volunteer Guides and a number of committed community members who assist in a variety of ways.
Our Volunteer Guides ensure that visitors to the Marine Discovery Centre gain as much as they can from the experience. They meet and greet guests, show them through the Centre and interpret some of the more interesting displays. Our Guides are learning with us and some are more knowledgeable than others, but all are valuable contributors to our aims and objectives.
Other work involving volunteers includes assisting with outdoor activity programs, first aid and safety, collating collections, helping with presentations and displays at regional events, research and much more.
If you are interested in becoming involved with our organisation as a volunteer, please contact our office on 02 6496 1699, email us at admin@sapphirecoastdiscovery.com.au or simply call into the office at Snug Cove in Eden.
