    The SCMDC has a range of VOLUNTEER  POSITIONS that may interest YOU

    We require people from Monday to Friday, 10:0am to 3pm to help us out.

    We have a variety of jobs and roles that include Volunteer Guides, tank maintenance, helping with school holiday activities such as arts and crafts, rock pool rambles, fish feeding and much more.

    We’re flexible and will place you in a position to suit your skill base. We offer training days prior to your start and will continue with on-the-job training as you progress through the centre.

    Volunteers must have excellent communication skills and be able to work with groups of all ages and sizes.  Comprehensive and ongoing training is provided in all aspects of the centre’s indoor and outdoor exhibits and activities.

    Kerryn has been employed at the Discovery Centre since 2011 and is currently responsible for management of the Centre , is the Volunteer co-ordinator and a qualified Snorkel Instructor. Kerryn shares a great passion for the marine environment and is happy to take anyone snorkelling, anytime :). Kerryn has a an Associate Degree in Coastal Management (SCU) and a Masters in Writing (Swinburne, VIC)
