    The Sapphire Coast Marine Discovery Centre is inviting local youth to get wet to celebrate National Youth Week.

    Come along for a snorkel and BBQ lunch, all for free. Join qualified snorkel instructors and marine scientists to explore the underwater environment. Participants will take part in photographing the animals they see (cameras provided) and then work with staff and volunteers of SCMDC to identify the marine life that they captured. These photos will then be uploaded onto online databases for use in scientific research.

    This event is being run free of charge for participants thanks to a contribution from the Bega Valley Shire Council.

    Must be aged between 12 – 25 years.

    Marine Education Officer for the Sapphire Coast Marine Discovery Centre. A qualified marine scientist and educator with a Bachelor degree in Global and Ocean Science obtained from the Australian National University and a Graduate Diploma in Science Communication.
