    May seems to be the month of science in the wild and SCMDC is getting into the swing of it.

    If you are interested in being a scientist for a day and collect data for online databases then there are 2 events coming up for you to get involved with.

    Beach excursion

    May 16 and 17- Panboola Bioblitz

    Join researchers on surveys of the environment around the Panboola wetlands. Discover birds, reptiles and sea-life (Pambula Beach). A fun educational day out.

    May 28 – Oceans Connected Launch Event

    We will conduct simultaneous surveys at SCMDC and a marine centre in the UK and have a live Skype catch up to swap notes. Come along to take part in some ClimateWatch marine surveys, hear about the program and meet the UK team!

    Marine Education Officer for the Sapphire Coast Marine Discovery Centre. A qualified marine scientist and educator with a Bachelor degree in Global and Ocean Science obtained from the Australian National University and a Graduate Diploma in Science Communication.
